Company History and Background
MW Scaffolding was established in 1984 to offer a scaffolding hire and erection service, and has grown steadily to its current position, whereby it gives full coverage to the whole of Wales and the UK from Aberystwyth.
The company grew steadily and in 1993 a decision was made to open a satellite operation in North Wales to meet growing demand along the coast between Holyhead and Chester.
In August 1994 the company entered the European market when they began supplying expertise and labour to a Dutch company, Limburgs Steigerbouw Bedrijf BV, working mainly in the petro chemical industry.
This company used a German manufactured system that has been in widespread use on the continent for many years, particularly in power stations and the oil, gas and chemical industries. It has proved to be of great benefit due to its speed of erection and adaptability.
Subsequently MW Scaffolding Ltd has invested in Thyssen Hunnebeck Modex system and plans to spread its usage throughout the company's operations. The Aberystwyth branch has fully converted to the system during the summer of 1998.
The company's vision is to become a leading supplier of scaffolding products and expertise to all types of construction projects in Wales and the U.K.. New products are now being developed which will put MWS on the map!
